Maddy began his career, 20 years ago, with Cyber Media, India’s largest technology publisher at 19 – straight out of high-school. In 1999, he was the Founding Editor of ZDNet’s Indian operations, later acquired by CNET in 2000 and later by CBS in 2008. His work profile includes Associate Editor at Silicon India; Technology Editor at ITP and Managing Editor for IDG Middle East – the world’s largest IT publisher.He also set-up the Middle East & Africa operations for Ramky Group, and served as their ‘GM-at-Large’ for seven years. Ramky is a publicly-listed US$1.2 billion firm.
An avid traveller, having visited over 40 countries, he hopes to take a long holiday and visit the other 160. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Osmania University and an MBA from Cardiff, UK.
Chris has over 16 years of experience in B2B content. Prior to joining Content HQ, he worked with leading publications such as PC Magazine, Arabian Reseller, Your Business, Windows ME, PC Quest, and CIOL. Over the past decade, he has written hundreds of features, white papers, reviews, blog posts, special supplements, case studies and business content for clients such Adobe, Cisco, Unilever, Dubai Government, 3M, Deutsche Messe, Sonic Wall and Emirates Computers.
His past career roles include Head of Content development at Universal McCann, Editor at Altus Publishing, Dabbagh Group, UTV, Cyber Media and ITP.
Ahmed has over 22 years’ experience creating and translating Arabic content in both corporate & publishing clients, ranging from media companies, online portals to agencies.
Besides impeccable editorial skills, Ahmed has experience in managing large scale projects, teams, devising content strategies, multi-lingual SEO.
Ahmed worked with Du Telecom for 3 years. As manager of their online properties, he defined CMS requirements, contributed to its development; full website localization; created a website style guide; translating and publishing entertainment, technology, Health, Beauty, Business content.
At ITP Publishing, as Editor, Arabian Business, (Arabic Edition), he managed both the publication as well as the online portal; during his tenure, website visitors increased 20 times, pageviews 30 times and newsletter subscriptions 80%.
In 10 years at DIT, he fulfilled various roles such as Managing Editor of their Technology Unit; Editor-in-chief, PC Magazine, and Technical Editor, PC Magazine. He created the editorial strategy for PC Magazine Arabia, Arabian Reseller, and all the monthly supplements and special editions.
He has also been in Academics with Aleppo University’s Computer Department for 5 years where he was member of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering faculty. Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics.
With over 28 years of experience in creating content for the print, TV and online media, Prakash is an award-winning writer/designer with international experience in marketing and advertising. With an eclectic background and education in Science, Engineering, Literature, Typography; experience in copywriting, and creating print, logo, brochure, web, and advertising design.
His creative work have won accounts, garnered awards, helped clients raise their bottom lines, brought renewable technology to people’s awareness and helped influence legislation.
After dropping out from IIT, he found his creative calling and pursued an MA in English and Linguistics from the University of Bombay; studied Typographic Design at the London College of Communications, and UCLA. He has worked with ad agencies, large and small, across various roles from Artist/Designer to Creative Group Head.
Like all creative people, he is endlessly curious exploring history, sociology to maths and hopes to write a book. Someday.
Ned has 25+ years experience with SMEs, multinationals, and government. He is currently Innovation Advisor at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office. He’s been associated with many tech ventures in the US and the Middle East with successful exits to IBM, and Thomson Reuters (acquired Zawya in 2012, which he was part of).
He is actively involved with several programs for entrepreneurs such as Seed Startup, SME Evolution Program, and Arabia 500. In addition, Ned spent 11 years with IT blue chips Intel and CA, setting up and expanding their MEA operations, and three years to launch new ventures for Middle East giants such as Mubadala, du, and National Holding.
He has a Master’s Degree from Stanford University and founded the UAE Stanford Alumni Club. He’s driven many pioneering CSR initiatives in the Arab world and is an original member of the UN ICT Arab Task Force and the Young Arab Leaders organization.
Girish Mallapragada is currently Assistant Professor of Marketing at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Prior to this, he worked for four years at Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Mallapragada’s research on new product development & pricing in the context of open innovation, social networks and marketing strategy, which is published in the prestigious journal Management Science.
He received his PhD in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University, and MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University. Before joining the academic fraternity, he worked in enterprise sales for Pramati Technologies, an IT infrastructure software vendor where he helped expand operations and sign up strategic partners.
With over 18-years experience in IT consulting, infrastructure development and the realty sector, Naren has worked across a spectrum of industries and verticals. Starting off his career with Motorola, the past 15 years he has helped successfully set-up, guide and mentor several early stage ventures to multi-million dollar firms and serves on their Board of Directors as well as their investor & promoter. His expertise lies in negotiating and successfully implementing enterprise level and quasi-government projects in emerging markets. Naren holds a Post Graduate Degree in Management and Business.
